The Foundation – a registered charity – was established in 2000 with the support of Government and the business sector, and has grown with the support of individuals, families, businesses, religious and other institutions through enabling them engage in effective philanthropic activity by getting funds local grassroots causes. The Community Foundation for Ireland’s small Grants Scheme is now accepting applications for its first round of Grants in 2006.
