Prism To Headline Saturday At Big Bam June Jam

first_imgTAYLOR, B.C. – This weekend will see artists from across the Peace, and further abroad descending upon the Big Bam ski hill for the 2nd Annual June Jam.Compared to the first June Jam held last year, event founder and organiser Art Waite says that this year’s festival is set to be at least twice as big as last year’s inaugural event. Waite says that 16 acts have been booked to play on two stages at the festival grounds, with Punch Drunk Cabaret and the Johnny McCuaig Band headlining on Friday night, and Prism on Satuday. Wait says that the addition of children’s activities, a large slip’n’slide, along with both the Vertical Jam and Giv’r To The Riv’r mountain bike races will make for an action-packed weekend.Tickets for the June Jam are still on sale at Home Hardware in Fort St. John until the gates open on Friday afternoon at 4:00 PM, or at the ski hill all day Saturday. Tickets are $60.00 each, or two for $100. Accomodations can be booked at Peace Island Park campground, and parking is available at the Big Bam Hill chain-up area.- Advertisement -Waite says that a free shuttle to the show from Diversified Transport will also be in operation from 4:00 PM until 2:00 AM on Friday, and from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM Saturday.
